Wood Lake Research Station

If you installed Glacier Bay version 2 (part 1 and part 2) there are a couple of airports with amazing detail. One is Skagway which is definately worth a visit. Another is the Wood Lake Research Station. It takes some flying to find it but when you do it is definitely worth the troubles of getting there. The Hangars, the way it's laid out on the ground, the small details such as the light poles with their lines or the fire place. It is worth a visit.

You can find it at the following coordinates N58 30.74 W136 25.85, about 66 nm from Juneau. You can also find it by flying outbound on the Sister Island (114.00) radial 275 and some 37 nm out.

Also a short tip about a different kind of virtual airline that flies a lot around Alaska, namely Alaska Winds. It is dedicated to the bush flying that made Alaskan aviation famous.
