Busy weekend ahead of me...

Not much flightsimming going on currently, today I have the day off but I have to run off to the dentist and fix a tooth, tomorrow will be spent photographing a wedding (not the Crown princess of Sweden's wedding though, who'll marry tomorrow too)

Sunday will be spent meeting friends and celebrating their daughter's first birthday.

So not much flightsimming going on :)

I bought Instant Scenery 2

I actually bought it and gave it a try and what a lovely program it is. Really easy to use and to create the scenery. For the ground texture work you need to use another program though and I used Airport Design Editor which can be found here.

To give the program a try I decided to design a small scenery for the Anderson Lake Strip, 0AK1 in Alaska. Just a short hop from Anchorage it is a small place but with a cool airport which I found on Google maps with a good satellite view.

After about three hours of work in the two programs with lots of trying it out, restarting, restarting and then again restarting fs9 I got a pretty nice one considering that it was my first try.

Compare it to the real thing which can be viewed here.

Here are a couple of screenshots:

Just Flight Grumman G-44 Widgeon

Link: Just flight

I found this cool payware Grumman G-44 Widgeon from just flight. It wasn't very expensive, just shy of 10 euros which is an ok price.

The model is nothing spectacular but it works nicely and has a nice panel so it's a keeper.

C-5 KDOV approach

Link: www.skyvector.com

This is me the other day on my final for rwy 32 at Dover, RNAV approach which is an interesting type of approach. The C5 is an amazing aircraft, big, massive and yet really nice to fly. This particular model is Alphasim's.

St Barth

Link: http://www.simviation.com/fs2004scenery57.htm

There is a really cool video of the famous St Barths airport in the West Indies. The approach to rwy 10 is jut too cool. In the default scenery it is almost impossible to do but in this it is much more manageable. Take a look at this youtube video
